Hi folks,
I've just released a new plugin: Voice Trap. It is an FFT-based vocal remover / isolator. You can use it to remove vocals for karaoke (not hip) or to isolate the vocals for remix/mash projects (definitely hip).
You can find it at www.cloneensemble.com

I just tried the demo and am impressed. The demo only isolates vocals so I played some dance music tracks through it. It effectively removed the bass and comping instruments. It left in the vocals and high hat and high frequency drum content (like the snap of the snares). I cut the highs in an EQ which took out most of the hi hats.
I think this would be a useful tool for people who need this (either the removal or isolation), and even for people who don't as I believe it can produce some unique effects when intentionally used wrong. It would be easy to use this to lift the vocal from a song and place it over a new remix of your choosing (or a song that you write).
Oh yeah, unlike most vocal products, this one is only $25. I don't have any current need, but heck for that little I might buy it anyway.

I'm not sure if this forum lets you edit an existing title - I can't see the button. Some forums are a bit sensitive to folk promoting their own products, which was why I was so timid!

All you need to do is hit 'Edit' for the first post in the thread... you can edit the title at the same time.
