SR Reason 3 Refills....

I'm out of the loop here.

I see a "3 for 2" buy at the Props Shop but a myriad of SR refills listed.

Which would you recommend as "must haves" ?

What was the Big Group Buy I here mentioned ?

The big group buy was over like last month...and the ones at Props Shop are all top quality Refills...and plus the fact that it's a download package meaning that you'll get your hand on them right the way (or until they process your informations).

I heard that they're putting Mirsolav into a Refill package...sounds interesting! Now one can use Mirsolav within Reason 3, that's cool...too bad I have Mirsolav already...or else I would go with the Refill instead. Is there a way to crossgrade maybe? Squids?

Can't remember exactly which refills they have at the propshop (i got mine elsewhere) but I have a few, and the standout libraries for me are World Percussion firstly, followed by Symphonic strings, then I'd say Monster drums or Mello-T depending on what you're into IMHO.

Was a decision ever made on an upgrade path for purchasers of the original Sonic Refill 1.0? I didn't see any mention of it on esoundz.

Yes. If you own Miroslav Philharmonik you will be able to buy the Miroslav Refills for a nice crossgrade discount and visa versa.

The cutoff for a free upgrade was the time that Props announced Reason 3. If you bought any Sonic Refills from esoundz (or any other store you just have to show proof of purchase) before that time you can upgrade to the R3 version for a nice low price. Not sure what it is yet but in the $10-25 range. Sometimes, if you buy a bunch of other refills at the same time we even waive the upgrade charge for the other refills you already have. We're pretty cool that way. Just email sales@esoundz.com when you want to try to make a bulk deal like that.

You can get all 20 for less than half price which is sweet. You can get that now by emailing but we'll have that up officially some time this month. There will be an upgrade for the Sonic Refill 1.0 to the new "silver bundle" which is the same Vol. 1-5 only done with Combinators in R3. Nice!

There are only 5 of the 20 refills on the Propshop. They are Vocal Textures, Mello-T, Retro Keys, Triple Guitars (which won a Key Buy) and Triple Bass. Currently they have not raised the price yet but may in the future so if you want them for download on the cheap now is your chance. With the download you don't get the 2.5 refill version as well like you do with the disc version though (in case you stilll use 2.5 then you'll want to buy the disc version which has a refill for 2.5 AND a refill for 3).
