Not sure where this topic should go but anyway, what are your favorite MFX plug-ins?

An MFX listing here.

Real MFX as opposed to MIDI-processing VSTs? The one I use most is 'Humanize' from the "Frank's MIDI Plugins" set.

Yep, I mean real MFX. I never really took the time to use any MFX plugs except the native SX one which aren't MFX per se and I'm probably missing something here.
Just checked the humanize plug, interesting.
Thanx.

I find it really handy when using MIDI Groove Clips... running them thru Humanize givew it just enough subtle variation to stop it becoming 'mechanical' - especially for drum loops...

If there would be a some kind of 6x+ alternator it would be my fav.
Does anyone know if there is something like this around?

What is a '6x+ alternator' ??

I need a good MFX arpeggiator. Free or cheap
(I really like ERA but its a little expensive,
and I only want the arp part).
I'm looking for one for a long time (some
years right now), but nothing shows up.
May be some developer finally does one.
I hope.

Yes, I'm also using the 'humanize' command in SX when programming drums and it helps usually but this MFX seems to be far more 'advanced'. Will try it for sure.

I would like it to be something you can realize roundrobin alternation with, the more cycles the better.

No idea, sorry.
Sonar, Cubase, Logic (...) all have a built-in MIDI arp, the one in your host doesn't suits you?

TenCrazy.com have an MFX alternator, but I don't think it'll do that.

The Arp in Sonar 2 is a joke. Sometimes
works, but most of time do strange things.
And is not a standard arp, instead of the
octave span control have a note range control
that is unusable.
IE: I want the simplest octave bass, I want
to play C2 on my keyboard and want to hear
C2-C3-C2-C3....
In a standard Arp you set the direction up
and the octave control to 2 and thats all.
In the Cakewalk Arp you set the direction
up or down (no matters) and the note range
between C2 and C3 and you have more or less
the same results if you play notes between
C2 and C3.
If you play B1 instead of heard B1-B2, you
heard B2-B3 (because the range you set).
If you set a wider range you start hearing
3 notes instead of 2 in some notes, but
not in others.
Totally unusable, and if you want some more
complex just forget it.

Yes, TenCrazy.com MFX AutoAlternator is only 2x, for drum-handedness or bowing direction for pitched instruments.

I do have a 8x per-note alternator unreleased. How many is a good number?
