Unfortunately, I don't think you can import animated gifs into Chrome!

Post

speccy please tell me what chrome is, I don't know and I can't find it on google... and no, I can't access the IL forums.

Chrome is a visualisation tool that allows midi input and automation to control the movement of images and objects. It has various pre-defined scenes, over which you can superimpose text or import 3d models. FL Studio only I'm afraid.

Visualization? Like all those visualization plugins for winamp, only more interactive? Wtf for??

Fun!

Probably also good for a live show too.

Yep, this chrome thing, could be a real hit.
Really interested in what comes out of it!

...still working on a new release.

Not really :

You get a couple of background scenes on top of which you layer 3DS models & texts.

The events of the scenes & the objects can be triggered using your midi controller, pianoroll or automation clips.

Because most of the 'illustrated' electronic acts we've seen so far really sucked.

They are (or were, it's been a while since we initiated this project 4 years ago) feeding a €10.000, 5000 lumens projector with a 320*200 bouncing ball ... that's not even in sync with the music.

Anyway : If you don't get why, you probably don't need it & you're free to ignore it (which is the advantage of our free updates).

Hmmm jmc - intriguing.

What can you actually do with what you put together though - can you export it to avi or something? Or is it just for live interaction with your music.

Also - What music does it respond to. I know that really sounds like a daft question, but if I had FLStudio in another host as a VSTi, I'm guessing it will only respond to FLStudio? Kinda makes sense - but just thought I'd ask.

Pity it's not the Blender format that it imports - that would be pretty cool. I'll have to see if I've got a round-about way of going from Blender to 3DS. I'm sure it's out there.

AVI export is not on the drawing board but as the question seems to keep be coming up you never know.

Interaction with your music and/or with what you trigger yourself using your midi controller.
Caleb wrote:What music does it respond to.
It's not the music it responds to (unless you use a peak controller in FL Studio).

Chrome reacts to your midi keyboard/pianoroll & automation.

As you can use FL Studio as ReWire, VSTi & DXi client you have plenty of options here.
