Does anyone know a way around this?

When I load a VSTi in FL Studio (I have the producer edition), I am unable to select patches/presets within banks.

These same VSTi's patches/presets are totally available in other hosts. What gives? I can't seem to find an answer anywhere.

Thanks,
moodflow

which instruments are you using? I have producer edition too with no problems. You could always try the tech support forum at flstudio.com

moodflow, could you be a little more specific? It's because although a lot of VSTs can import presets as fxb/fxp files, some don't. Some have their own formats. also, the method of loading a bank/preset [via the VST's own interface] varies from VST to VST. It'd help if you could specify one or two VSTs with which you have that problem. I've never had a problem like that with the FLS I use [and i've used lots of VSTs in FLS by now], so that's why i'm curious.

cheers!

This is only an issue with simpler VSTi's that dont have a preset selection within the VSTi's window.

For instance: if I run cygnus (VSTi instrument) under 'minihost', there is an option at the top of the window where I can change the built in presets with no problems.

Loading this same VSTi under FL Studio, I don't have this option, and can only access the default preset within Cygnus.

Thanks for your help so far,

OK I found it... its the tiny arrows to the left of the X on the fruity wrapper window. I kept missing these thinking they were to minimize/maximize the window!

Thanks for all your help.
