yeah, but that's usually just us that's overrating ourselves. i don't think that counts because often, nobody cares.

...Gilmour has already done two solo albums, I think. One is self-titled [David Gilmour] from the 70s, the other is 1984’s About Face. Plus is think I’ve seen him listed as a special guest guitarist on some Blues [Paul Rodgers’ Tribute to Muddy Waters] and Jazz [most probably Joe Henderson’s Porgy & Bess] albums. Great voice and guitars...

Yep, and those albums have some good stuff on them, not great, but enjoyable; I rather liked About Face. FYI, he also played with Paul Macartney, Jeff Beck and Jan Hammer, Bryan Ferry, Roxy Music (appears in the video for "More Than This"), and discovered & produced the Dream Academy. Explains how he goes so long between projects.

I haven't heard them though: who are they like? Give me an aural analogy -- are they like a Green Day-meets-Boyzone [since "brainless teenage girls" are mentioned a couple of times] type of a band?

Y'know, I always wondered why record labels don't push a punk Boyzone type of an outfit: it could be a very good marketing ploy. Wouldn't you agree?

f**king hell, most of it sounds like a 5 year old wrote it. Occasionally, the guy's brain spasms and he writes some poetic nonsense, which is indeed impressive. Treat yourself to a few more works of genius:

I think that's mostly preference when it comes to Hip-Hop and R&B... I mean, cummon, to me I've only met people who either LOVE it or HATE it beyond measure. But that's just me, and I'm probably next on the overrated list...
