"Naive LPF v 0.1"
Just a little filter, with controls for cutoff frequency and resonance. I believe it's a 1-pole (-6dB/Oct) filter.
I doubt the world is going to beat a path to my door for this, but it's the first step in something I've wated to get around to trying for a long time -- building a VSTi softsynth. So far, so good!
Anyway, enjoy and let me know if it doesn't work in your host.

No custom interface yet, just two host-generated sliders. Cutoff frequency and resonance.Chase wrote:any shot of the interface?
For a little test like this, I wouldn't bother making a GUI. That comes last after its a fully functioning VSTi, and everything sounds perfect. GUI development is a bottomless pit, a time-sink. Just worried about sound issues for now.

If your one-pole filter is resonant, it must have complex coefficients -- there's nothing naive about that
Look forward to giving it a try.

3 multiplies and 2 additions and one subtraction per sample, s'all I know!autloc wrote:If your one-pole filter is resonant, it must have complex coefficients -- there's nothing naive about thatLook forward to giving it a try.
Thanks tho'! It's not much but, like I said, it's a start, and I was encouraged that I could pull it off without really understanding what a complex coefficient is.

i only know of this post and admiral's on the last page of the chordspace thread. and for that post, in conjunction with this plugin, admiral deserves all the ridicule he can get, imho...

4 or 5 threads at this point. She/he's been following me, hounding me, ever since I wrote a very reasonable critique of another synthedit based VSTi. It's become so ridiculous that I think I'm now more entertained by it than (s)he is.
(Envelope followers and LFOs are coming soon, by the way. Of course. They easy!!!)

It all started in this thread http://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=106898
Which is locked now because it degraded so badly after nuffink started attacking me. (Unfortunately, it was just starting to get good again when this happened.)
Now, I've just done what Alison asked me to, posted my efforts so (s)he could compare dicks(nuffink's term, not mine) and now I'm told it's a "pitiful excuse for a web site". http://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic ... 79#1445779 I just made that site for THIS. Because (S)HE asked! Jeeeeeeeze, Alison's a hard woman to satisfy!

From flame warrior to trying to enlist the sympathy of the forum in a couple of days. Pathetic.

And funny that I would try to enlist that sympathy by pointing them at the same post that you accuse me of flame warring/trolling in. The only flaming troller around here is you, pumpkin.
Still, c'mon Alison, let's be friends! I have downloaded, tested, plan to use, and fully endorse your Chordspace "product". Great effort, kid! This ain't a contest, we're all supposed to be here to support each other, aren't we?
(and... good one fabi!!! really.
