I am SR esoundz addicted, gotta order something from them. :D
Hmmm, I think in this case I will go for some HipHop licks

Expansion Tank: Let the Beat Speak might be my choice

I see that there are Sampletank versions and REX on the CD? That is great.
We got drums, fx, bass and more.

And there are also MIDI files. Are the Sampletank programs scliced versions that can be

triggered with these MIDI files?

Let The Beat Speak has full loops and rex-style sliced loops as programs for SampleTank. :)

Thanks, Kim. I havent worked with REX or REX-style loops before. I assume the MIDI files can be used to trigger the slices and can be used to adapt the arrangement?

That's right. You can browse the "FastAccess" folder (with whole loops) to try out different loops and find what you want.

Once you've made a choice and you want to go deeper, load the corresponding sliced program, and you can trigger it with the MIDI file that goes with it, or rearrange it to your own taste.

Kim - when you say REX-style loops, do you just mean a drum loop that has been beatsliced and mapped across a keyboard conveniently so that playing chromatically from C1 (for example) will play the full loop?

Happiness is the hidden behind the obvious.
