The preview/tutorials at the moment is for registered users only. When FL6 is released, you will most probably see that and more (in the space they have for the cool flash ads) on flstudio.com. Then you can decide to buy it.Innominandum wrote:That's weird.
"The tutorial video's are only available to registered FL Studio users.
Please consider joining the growing FL Studio comunity by buying our software."
So what they're saying is: to preview the software to determine if I'm interested in buying it, I must already own it?

So think how they must feel having assinine fools ask them every two minutes. Its like Bart & Lisa in the back seat "Are we there yet?" "Are we there yet?" "Are we there yet?" "Are we there yet?" "Are we there yet?" "Are we there yet?" "Are we there yet?" "Are we there yet?" "Are we there yet?" "Are we there yet?" "Are we there yet?" "Are we there yet?" "Are we there yet?" "Are we there yet?" "Are we there yet?" "Are we there yet?" "Are we there yet?" "Are we there yet?" "Are we there yet?" "Are we there yet?" "Are we there yet?" "Are we there yet?" "Are we there yet?" "Are we there yet?" etc.rbet wrote:Nothing against you, but I am really starting to hate this 2069/2096/2097/etc. 'joke' with a passion. Whenever some dude asks about the release date, someone pipes in with that assinine quip.easymode wrote:2097, as usual
I use FF 1.5 beta2, popup are enabled. It just crashes.
I use media player classic and never had a pb when playing their tutorials...

Oh wow, look at this, how preposterous! Someone asking software devs about the release date for their software lol!!1!1!! They can atleast put up a 'date of expected release'? How unrealistic is that to ask for? They have it all figured out, so why hide it from their customers?

We all know better than to ask for release dates don't we ?
And as for the vids for registered users only (for now), well, sheesh, give us paid-up owners some little bonus...

That is what I meant by an 'expected' date of release. And besides, what bad could possibly happens if it is late by a couple of weeks?nuffink wrote:Because those "customers" squeal like stuck pigs if it slips?rbet wrote:Oh wow, look at this, how preposterous! It reminds me of the first release of Kontakt... except that it samples, it has a nice gui, and the layout seems logical.

Regarding 2069 - it's just a stock reply. Nothing to get pissed about - it's well known that IL does not announce release dates. So no point in asking. Again. And again.
As for DirectWave - cool thing is that Arguru is working on it. And Arguru goes waaaaaay back to where it all started in the PC music scene, so you can expect some inspired stuff from him for sure. IL and Arguru met in Spain a while ago, hung out, liked each other well, and decided to work together on some things. So we all stand to benefit.
Good thing being - that IL focuses on price alot - they work really hard on bringing affordable products. So you can always expect something awesome and inexpensive.
