The legend will never die! 90 years young, and still going strong! :hail: Even has a new CD coming out where he's jamming with the likes of Eric Clapton, Ritchie Sambora, Peter Frampton called 'Les Paul & Friends; American Made, World Played'.

Awesome Les! Simply awesome! :hail:

He is truly an American original. The guitar was just the beginning. In the studio he was an innovator par excellence. He accomplished more in his life than I would ever dream about. But he is the Wizard of Waukesha. All hail the wizard. Oh AND thanks LES. You da man.

I hear him often in phone interviews with AM740 up here, and he sounds great and minds clear as a bell for the most part.
He might have about as much trouble recalling 50 years ago, as I do 5 days ago! :-o

Lucky basterd Scoops! Les seems like the nicest laid back guy in the world! :hihi:

I once saw a TV interview with Les Paul. As he went back in time and described his achievements it was like he invented everything. I had no idea what he had done outside the guitar that bares his name. Everything we take for granted he had to invent to do what he wanted to do. It is almost inconcieveable what this one man has done for audio/recording. I for one think he deserves a Presidential medal of honor just for his studio work. IT'S AS IF HE SINGLE HANDEDLY invented multitrack recording with effects. They don't call him the wiz for nothing.

As Jack Nicholson reffered about Stanley Kubrick... 'Everyone calls him THE MAN, and I feel that still under rates him...' That's the way I feel about Les Paul.
