I'm also a bit partial to Roland's Orchestral, just because it satisfy's immediate needs.

Even though there is no Arturia stuff in there, I do like them a lot, but that list represents what is usually loaded up first when I'm composing.

TBH tho', I'm getting more into Reason now and liking the limits of not being able to load up any VST that I like and spending more time debating which synth to use instead of actually composing tunes.

Oh, and in keeping with the excellent "alternative" lists, here is my contribution....
