I'm thinking of upgrading for the freeze function. Does the fact that I'm upgrading from SX 1 to SL 3 negate the fact that it's technically a lesser version?

In other words, is SL 3 better than SX 1?

Post

Yes, much better. But when I tried to upgrade SX1 to SL2, about 1 - 1/2 year ago, I was told by Arbiter (in the Uk, might be different in other countries) that I couldn't do that, as that is a downgrade :nutter:
So, according to them I could only upgrade SX1 to another SX version, not a SL version.

Back to your original question. SX1 has more inserts and instruments slots I think. 5 and 32 in SL3 and other details like that, but generally the program has been improved immensely. Eg. Freeze, PDC and audio warp.
Even SE3 would be better than SX1 in a lot of areas I think.
