hi all,

is there a Midi Vst which can build harmonys on incoming notes like Harmony Assistant or Band in a Box?

Vst will be more versatile for me thats why i ask.

Check out Chordspace.

It's setup somewhat like this. Aimed mostly at jazz accompaniment.

Hey while you guy are on the subsubject of chordspace can someone tell me what the difference is between both CS versions??

ChordSpaceDO can send midi direct to a midi port.
It makes it useable in hosts like Sonar which otherwise have no way of routing midi from a vst.

But I think that Chodspace does not calculate harmony from a melody, does it ?

I'm not really sure I like Chordspace. I mean, great idea and all, but the way it's laid out, it's application, it's just all wrong from my p.o.v.

Dunno... can't seem to grasp it's use.

Yeah, I have tried to make BIAB develop such a plug, via their forums. But there is no respons for it. But their harmony building algoritms are very good IMHO.

They have exported that function into the note editing program Finale only.

As soon as they integrate VST/VSTi usage into the BIAB program they might develop it as plug also?

A mfx plug that can make this would also be cool.

Or hopefully Chordspace can do this now or in the future???

i think such a plugin would be really complicated..so nobody likes to code it..

manually you could try a combi of chord & scale plugin to simplify harmonization...
