I find it hilarious that he'd actually link to that thread as a reference to his good character and an insightful slight to those involved in the altercation here.
In any case, I do really hate the synthedit snobbery. Fundamentally, good ideas are the most important thing in creation - but they ain't worth much without an implementation. So anything which enables or even helps someone to realise a good idea is a worthwhile thing in my opinion.

Here's try #2 at a filter. It's got more stages/poles now, you can select up to 4 with a slider. And you can switch it to HPF mode too.
The resonance is pretty wild now when in 4-Pole mode, I'm going to have to work on that.
I've removed ver 0.1 from the site as it's exactly the same as this version in 1-Pole mode. If you've got ver 0.1, delete it (or move it out of vstplugins) before using this one. They have different filenames, but use the same ID, so they will conflict.

Hey AdmiralQuality, i didn't try v0.1, but i like the sound of version 0.2, i like the high resonance squeel. i was getting some nasty cpu spikes in energyXT though. particulary when there was little on no audio input/output.

I never have understood why I read this kind of nonsense. It must be the same thing that drives women to buy stupid magazines that talk about how fat/thin some celeb is. here it's about LPF and SynthEdit. When will I learn to not waste 15 minutes of my short life on this stuff?
