excellent Halloween tune IMO: Skinny Puppy - Choralone

not sure how that fits with the rest of your set, but how about some Roky Erickson? A bunch of songs to fit the theme...my pick would be Burn the flames

Post

I would play some Puppy, but we may be watching the "Ain't it dead yet" DVD during the evening. Which would make that overkill...

Probably have some silent movies on in the background during the rest of the stuff.. I'm thinking metropolis, and the classic nosferatu...

more my taste as well...i actually have a 45 called "they Call in the Fridge" about William "the refridgerator" Perry that rips off "the Jungle" musically, it will scare the shit out of anyone, especially the "dub version" on the flip side....

another scary idea: play the "Theme from SWAT" over and over for about 20min...i scared some hipsters with that one at a party back in the day....

any Mr. T should do nicely as well.....

not to go ot but it's been bugging me: does Current 93 do that song "Beusoile"? (probably misspelled), i had it on a tape, always liked it, i remember it was one of those industrial-type guys, i think... :?:

but back on t: P16D4 was always my fav from those days...hey don't forget "Hamburger Lady" by Throbbing Gristle and "Frankie Teardrop" by Suicide, those will be sure to get the trendies pouting

I KNEW I forgot a good one! That would be perfect!

The some stuff from the soundtrack to Suspira would be fun, too...

Frightening.

I would add ,
No One Lives Forever and Just Another Day by Oingo Boingo (Dead Man's Party gets played to death every October in CA)

you could also cue up the 44 seconds of Fear contest from last year. There were about 20 entries for almost 15 min of fear!
..what goes around comes around..

'Beausoleil', yes, that was Current 93 (from 'Swastikas for Noddy', 1987).

Psychic TV - recordings made at Jonestown during mass suicide

That was Vagina Dentata Organ ('The Last Summer' pic disc LP) though PTV may have used Jordi's tape (as Chris and Cosey already had on their collab with John Duncan).

VDO's 'Music for Hashishins' is good halloween music too - just collaged sounds of Alsatian attack dogs. Pretty intense.

Unfortunately my knowledge of older "industrial" like Coil and Current 93 is woefully inadequate. I must do some more research... any tips and good starting points would be welcome. :)

Oh, another good one - Nomex 'Assimilate Infiltrate Propagate Disseminate' LP, live recording in the Paris catacombs using the bones found therein - just got this in the mail yesterday and it's perfect for the season.
