.. update ..
we had the first of 3 record companies here, listening to us in our rehearsal room.
it was an A&R from polydor/universal.
we played 4 songs with the whole band (7 people), and 2 with just tobi and me on acoustics and voice, and coco on the cello.
he really like it, but said that its hard to market it. so, to make it short, the first attempt failed.
he didnt really give us a "no", but actually he did.
its okay, as we´re very convinced of what we do .. so this wont break anything ..
tomorrow we have some guys from V2 records. 2nd chance when it comes to show off in front of major labels.
all in all its a very interesting thingie at the moment, as our producer of course has a diffrent point of view in all this. he´s spoiled with success, while we´re rather take it easy.
wish us luck for tomorrow ..

.. we have to deal with a lot of shit in all this, and mostly because we´re a german band singing english.
over here its the big hype at the moment to be german and sing german. but as we all know these hypes dont last for long.
i for one dont care, as i feel way too "international" meanwhile .. being an internet addict since more than 5 years now, communicating with people from all over the world.
for example, my homepage gets visited by 80% of people not speaking german.
its just 20% coming from germany, austria or switzerland.
and come on, the world IS becoming a village .. doesnt it? (well, sort of).
its sad that people working for record companies have to have such argumentations like "hmm, difficult to market cause you sound so british" ..
i can comprehend that, cause these are the circumstances we´re living in.
its sad though, and shouldnt be.
but like i said, nothing of all this theoretical bullshit can bring me or us down.
its the music itself .. thats what counts .. hooray! ..

thing is tho you dont sound british at all,yes the language maybe but musically and lyrically you are hippys,neither british nor german just hippys!!
