There's a new Tex, Don & Charlie album just released. Some good stuff.
Hard as Feck to get here in the UK but so worth it. Got the Sweet Nothing album by Perkins' Dark Horses on now...
Steve.
I know I have got a negative edge, that’s why I sharpen all the others a lot.

KVR: come for the music, stay for the polemics and grammar lessons...

My input:

Naoshi Mizuta - one of my heroes. He's a games musician who actually cares about the art of composing music. There's substance to his music, unlike everyone else I've heard recently.

Fibreforms/Kiln/Panchroma - all the same group of musicians.

Greenfly - Really well produced uplifting drum n bass and also makes killer funky downbeat tunes. The synth sounds he pulls from his arse are amazing

Makoto - Japanese producer that knows how to make the ultimate soulful dnb track and makes housey, funky tracks with soulful 70s influenced grooves. No bullshit. Just pure beautiful music you would play while having a drink and watching the sunset..
(Good looking Records artist).. Getting more popular now but he really should be a millionaire if you heard the quality of his stuff.

The "SchizoPhonics" (never could find a SINGLE song from them) they were extremely good!

Amon tobim...well known on the underground, but should be heard more by the masses.

Me :hyper:

or otherwise Gary Allan - listen to Smoke Rings In The Dark (oh yes he's a Country singer)

Post

Gary Green - guitarist with Gentle Giant. A superb, highly underrated player. He got the gig with GG not because he was the best they had heard, or being a good bloke, etc - he was the only person the met who could actually play the stuff they'd written! Get hold of the 'Playing the Fool' live album and listen to pretty much any track...
