Console, the sleeper modular host plugin___?

I have it, it's pretty good. It has a few things going for it that energyXT doesn't, like it has CPU meters showing how much each plug is using, it supports DX/DXi, not just VST/VSTi.
It comes with a few cool plugs of its own, like its' own mixers and a sequencer (but so does eXT).
Downside to me has been it's sometimes finicky on the plugin scan. Even if your Cakewalk wrapper or similar doesn't choke on a VST, Console might, and then when your Cakewalk wrapper tries to wrap Console, you have a problem. And it doesn't get updated anywhere near as often as eXT - it's only been updated once since I've owned it and I was quite surprised.
Overall, I'd just recommend eXT, but if you have a lot of DX/DXi you want to use in a modular environment it may be worth it to you.

Mike can you control DX/DXi the same way you would VST/VSTi plugins?? I'd like to start an all out war over XT,CONSOLE and Mulch.. Just to see the views on each(hehehehe)

What do you mean control? You can USE them just like VST/VSTi, yes. So if you have, for example, Dreamstation DXi that came in Sonar a few versions ago, then yes you could use it in Console. If you mean does Console have any automation, I don't think so from what I remember. If you mean can I use automation in my host to control DX/DXi in Console, then
I don't remember. I would imagine so. It's been a while and I just rebuilt my computer so I don't even have it installed at the moment. I never really used it enough to consider wether it could be an all around host.
. Never used AudioMulch, so I dunno.
Or you could just ask nicelyI'd like to start an all out war over XT,CONSOLE and Mulch.. Just to see the views on each(hehehehe)
