I wasn't that fond of Symbols really.
Angst, Attak, Naive Hell To Go, and Adios were probably my favorites.

Well, I disagree. Symbols is for me their best album to date; I don't like their rockier albums such as Xtort for example. Anyway, I used to be a a fan, now I'm not.

I really like what was supposed to be their "last" album a lot. Adios I think it was. Then MDFMK was good too. I actually haven't picked up anything since those two. I think I may have grown out of my need for KMFDM.

For me, KMFDM is always repeating the same formula. They go in circles between more electronic and more guitar-oriented, but the bones of the songs are always the same, and after 20 years I've grown tired of them. *
*this is just my opinion; I don't want to be dogmatic or to say that they are a "finished" band; it's just my impressions when I listen to each new album they release.

I would be inclined to agree with you on that point.

I like most of their albums...theres always a few tracks that I dont care for, but the good ones always outweigh the bad. XTORT and MONEY are probly my faves, I also really liked MDFMK which sounded different, but in a good way. I havent heard WWIII or Hau Ruck, but theyre in my amazon wishlist.

Weird... I think Xtort is rubbish. There is not one half-decent track on it. I'll take Angst, Nihil and WWIII in that order.

Heh. So it looks like tastes vary enough that I can't decide whether or not to pick up Hau Ruck based on anyone else's opinion.

...and now that I've done so, I'd have to say I like the first two tracks and last track well enough, but overall it doesn't stand up there with my favorites, and I'll have to consider KMFDM as a band past its prime.

I think everyone who likes KMFDM like them for different reasons. Some like the industrial, some like the metal...me I like the industrial metal!
