Hi there. I'm experiencing a strange MIDI problem I've never encountered before. I'm using Cubase SX 2.2 and when I play piano for example, through a MIDI track, through a VST instrument, it sounds great. No latency(Delta 1010, 256 samples), dead on. The problem happens after I record and then start to play back - everything is shifted off the beat. Happens on my laptop also with SX 2.2, but even worse. Its like as you're recording the MIDI notes all snap left.
I've tried turning off all the snapping stuff, no auto quantize, etc. It is also of note that I used to run SX 1.5 and this using SX 2.2 is definately new for me. I'm hoping maybe this is some default setting I'm missing. Ive tried removing all DirectX sound acceleration which helped a little but didn't fix it.
Any takers?
MIDI Latency only AFTER recording, on PLAYBACK.
