Anyone have a suggestion for an audio pitch to MIDI plug that tracks well (mono only is fine). I have the Fretted Synth Audio plugs but I can't see how to get them to just convert and pss MIDI through.
Any suggestions?
Thanks, Dave.

I've tried a few, and for my purposes Musiciendoz worked the best. I've used it to track bass guitar, which is notoriously difficult. However, I don't play fast or precisely so YMMV. People have recommended SuperEel, but I don't think I ever got that to work for me. Synodeia 2 is worth a look, and free but didn't quite do it for me. So, I ended up choosing Musiciendoz, even though it's not free (and is C/R to boot, though only for initial install I think) because it works simply, and is inexpensive.

The funny thing is I use it to create some ring tones a while back and it was quite easy.. allz I did was split the frequency of the audio 3 ways and then ported them to 3 midifiers worked like a charm!!

Okay, thanks, I'll try those other two. The first suggestion didn't work real well for me. For some reason it loved the upper half of my electric guitar range and couldn't deal at all with the lower half---it constantly stuttered on many of those notes, even though the guitar was fairly well tuned. Whatever I use it has to beat my Yamaha G50 outbaord unit, which is good but not great. If I can get some s/w to work, I'll sell the G50 since I don't use it live.

To be honest I dont think you will get it perfect.. I've tried many many standalones and ports from sequencer that promise perfect notes but have settled for playing, recording and cleaning the glitches. The only thing that I can think of is a hardware box solution that'll play the midi info out. I think cause they grab the audio info and do the coverting that you get a more accurate signal..
