Hi!

seems an iteresting project :)

plus...would be nice to have a Tablet 2 OSC feature to deal with software like "bidule" wich supports OSC messages (allowing for a 32 bit parameter resolution :) )

as soon as v. 1.0 of LiveSlice is well underway I'll get to this one. Interested beta testers (that have not emailed me already) can post to this thread.
Suggestions are also welcome.
I'll look into OSC.

thanx ohm,

what do you mean with tablet?

like a wacom thingie?

i guess it won't support "multitouch" ...controlling at the same time more than one area..

am i right?

thanx for the info

yes, like a wacom thingie :-) some call it a digitizer.

most tablets support two controllers at once, but only come with one in the package, so frankly I never tried it. I will get an extra controller in order to implement this function in tablet2midi.

It's a pretty serious limitation, I know, being used to analog mixer work. It's still better than using the mouse though, because you don't need to locate the cursor first, and the accuracy is better + you get touch sensitivity.

I have created a pretty useful "violin bow" setup with tablet2midi that plays a soundfont when the pen is moved horizontally, and modifies parameters based on vertical position and preasure. - I'll put this info on the website with a flash example soon.

thanks for the interest.

I would be interested in becoming a beta tester for Tablet 2 Midi. I use a Wacom Intuos with Borogrove/TinyGod MIDITab (http://tinygod.com/productold.html) at the moment (eXT/T2/bidule).
Cheers!

Hi,

I'm interested in beta testing, as well. I use a Tecra M4 Tablet PC which has a Wacom digitizer.

I use Reaktor, Max/MSP, and the Nord G2.

I've been interested in applications that allow interesting use of a tablet/digitizer as an instrument interface.

Another person interested in beta testing here! Wacoms are great, I want to explore their potential for music making further. I use Reason primarily but am expanding my VST collection to use with EnergyXT

I have a couple of Fujitsu 1600 Pentablet's I would love to see this running on. Got a 3400 too. I'd be happy to beta test if you like.

I've been loking for a reason not to sell them this just might be the ticket.. Looks great, can't wait!
:D :D

I'd be really up for testing this; I've got a wacom digitiser 2 on my machine at work (sound design for games) and an acer c111tci tablet pc to have a go with too.
Looks good so far! Can't wait to see it in action.

:)

Hi again.

I removed the 15 minute timeout from the preview - the only restriction now is that you cannot recall complex setups (you can only load two controllers)

This makes the tablet2midi demo / preview fully functional, with a limited feature set :-)

oh...if only wacoms support multi-touch with fingers :)
with an OSC implementation we'd can say hello to jazz mutant and its mega-high price (like 2.000 euro)

thanx tho ohm :)
