Well, if that's the case, then that's simply my personal definition. I wouldn't have the balls to call myself a "professional composer" until I've acquired the ability to compose full orchestral works, along with many other styles of music--from jazz to ethnic, to rock to pop to reggae to electronic to blues to metal to industrial to goth..etc that commercial composers must be well-versed in in order to secure gigs. If you listen to any successful and working commercial composer's demo reel, it usually displays the ability to compose in any style or any level of sophistication.
