Im just trying out Kontakt for the first time and was wondering if there is an easy way to do this..

I want to load a breakbeat loop and have it spread across the keys but with only the pitch affected, so when I play up the keyboard the break stays in time but goes up in pitch, like the effect Goldie used in his track "Terminator" .

thanx :)
I took a sawtooth wave off this Pantomime4, looped it back, mixed it with the sound of this crab committing suicide and let it stew in its own reverb for about 3 hours, then I pumped it all out through this shoe to give it that oak'y timbre.

sounds like you have some formant thing switched on.. but i'm not familiar with Kontakt so hopefully somebody else can tell you where it is

If the loop is loaded as a regular sample the pitch will go up as you move up the keys but so will the tempo as well. I'm thinking that's not what you want? You could process the loop in a editor. But to keep tempo right you'd need to break it up and just pitch the individual hits. This gets to be a major pain as you need a midi sequence to reconstruct the loop at tempo and then pitch the hits.
