Ok. That bug is fixed. Now we have a new one :hihi:

Now whenever i close the LiveSLice gui and reopen, the demo wav file replaces my own file in the LAST track within the arranger.

IE: If i have one track with my own wav file, closing and reopening the gui will cause this file to automatically be replaced by the demo file that comes with LiveSlice.
If I have two tracks with my own files, closing and reopening the gui will cause the file on the LAST track (2nd one) to automatically be replaced by the demo file.

This happens in the main window, within the sequencer, docked etc.

ok that demo limitation was a bit too harsh :-) I uploaded a new demo that leaves your loops intact after reopening the editor. Thanks for pointing it out.

Ok. We're good to go.
By the way, the "Empty" text in the loops menu helps. I was going to suggest that.

glad to hear that. Once you're done testing let me know what you think

Hi,
Ohm, I've downloaded the demo version (1.01) and I haven't been able to reproduce the 'loops are purple and distorted' bug.
Thank you for the update :)

Whereas I'm still experiencing some strange behaviours with Live Slive... sometimes it will just freeze my PC after having played around with the faders, buttons etc. :(

I don't kwnow if anyone has already had this problem here ? (I've tried Live Slice with Cubase and Ableton Live... same problem after having played with it for some minutes)

I will make more tests and post the results here.

Thank you very much again for your reactivity

Cheers,
Gil.

Bad news:-( I'm guessing it still is just the demo version that has these problems. Some unexpected difficulties with embedding a soundfile in a dll. The full version has been tested extensively with no mention of the problems you describe.

I'm using a registered version in Ableton Live, and I've never had any problems with freezing or locking up. Even under heavy use.

Best,

Gary,

I found that little bastard of a bug, hiding right there in the autoslice code causing trouble. An update has been uploaded to the site, it contains the new ACIDized loop and slice import too, so grab it while it's hot everybody.
