Are email threats legal evidence in the UK's court of law? If so, he probably won't do anything because his threat is now public knowledge.

I don't know. I'm sure they are, in the same way the cops collect other evidence from computers, I don't see why emailing threats is different.

Definitely if I was to send people threats in letter form I'd get nicked.

Those on here who know me know my credentials and background as a "recording artist" on a major label.I've done some sniffing, I called our PR and Legal department out of curiosity, and can assure you these people more than taking advantage of those who come to them in good faith.

Forward a copy of his mail, along with all information surrounding your case, including all contact information and things you have on CCR and this Shawn Davis to the police. Make sure CCR Records gets a copy of the mail. If he's stupid enough to think about any more threats or doing anything he'll get locked up nicely.

Should stop him from making any more stupid threats like this.

If he threatens you again (on two separate occasions) he's guilt of harrasment by threats of violence.

Your best course of action is to lodge a copy of the email with your local police station stating you have experienced a real sense of threat and are concerned he will threaten you again.

They won't do anything first time around, but they'll give you a police case number which you should advise the gentleman of, should he contact you again. That usually sorts the wankers from the psycho's.

seriously: I dunno how it works in the UK but over here I'd show it to the cops - it's easy to prove that it was really him sending you this mail and such threatenings are highly illegal over here. If it was me whop received is and he lived over here asw ell he'd be in big trouble by now.
