Help! - audio track CC's in sequencer

This is driving me nuts. I can't get the audio track volume faders in the main mixer to respond to CC's. I click "midi learn," move a control on my midi keyboard, and nothing happens. Same when I select the CC number. But when I route an envelope part to the audio track CC, it works like it should.

Everything else seems to respond to CC's from the midi keyboard. VST's, mixer parts, audio parts in the main window all respond.

:help: Am I doing something wrong here?

I'm using the Oct 21 beta and an unlicenced version. Any help is greatly appreciated!

The component needs to be attached directly to the "MIDI-In" component in order to recieve data from external sources like your MIDI keyboard. The volume faders can then be mapped to external CC sources!

BR confirmed, does not for me o audio tracks
(OK on Seq outs and VSTi audio outs)

But I think it mght just be a screen update problem.

here's a workaround:

1) add a midi track in sequencer
2) route the midi track output to all the audiotracks
you want to control via cc-messages
3) set record-mode of the midi-track to manual and
enable recording.

hope this helps.

Thanks! I'm glad this isn't just me doing something stupid again. Do I need to make an "official" BR, or Darkstar, do you have this covered?

undef, I really appreciate the workaround, I'll try it tonight when I get home.

If there was a "high five" smiley, I'd definitely use it right now.

Best thing is to add it, or a link, to the Consolidated bug thread.

I found this "issue" before .
Difficult to say if it's a BR or a Q since I'm not sure personally if sending midi through the seq midi in to audio parts by default is welcome (couldn't find a reason against it yet though).

Sorry, Darkstar, I just wasn't sure if there was any protocall around here about bug reports.

undef, the workaround does just what it's supposed to do! Thanks again!

@wilson,

Nope, it is my mistake, I misread your name and confused myself. So please accept my apologies for being abrupt.

Jørgen does provide support from his web-site, but the vast majority of bugs are reported here first. Others may have run into the same issues and can confirm them or suggest a workaround or help you diagnose the precise problem.

Jørgen scans this forum regularly so he will pick up the bug report. He may not always reply but I am sure that the bug report goes on his list.

Good to know, thanks.
