About a year ago when I first finished my Jigsaw Mind album I made the mistake of allowing homemademusic.com to distribute it. Seemed like a good deal at the time, but after problems with logging into my account, and not being happy with CDR manufacturing I decided to press and distribute the album myself. I asked them to remove it from the site, and for about 3 months I got no reply. Then finally after loads more emails I received an appologetic reply explaining that in the last few weeks I'd had a bunch of sales, they had some big venture on the go that I'd be crazy to pass on in the form of Orion's music (or something like that) and that I shouldn't be so hasty. I told them that I wanted a cheque for the few sales that I'd had and I'd decide shortly whether to take the album down. When I got my website up and running and my own batch of CDs pressed I emailed them again to say that I definately wanted to remove it. No reply.
I let it slip for a long time, then about a month ago I decided to check whether the album was still there. It was, and I then tried to log into my account to see if there had been any sales. "Account does not exist". So I send another email about a week ago saying "what the hell is going on?" . . . no reply.
I've just sent 3 more emails, but I'm not optomistic.
This company is extremely dubious, and I don't know what I ought to do next.

About all I can think of is to sell your album(s) over at CDBaby. You'd have to get the CD pressed yourself, though. They're essentially a distributor.

That doesn't sound too good. 
Have you done a google search for "homemademusic fraud". That can help you detect credibility issues.
Beyond that, I would keep hounding them. Perhaps you can find a phone number for them.

Well, I appear to have to up the stakes and threaten some sort of legal action. But I don't really have a clue what taking legal action would entail, and I'd imagine it's not a threat I could realistically back up.

Call them up, ask them to remove your stuff from their site, give them a 10 business day deadline. If by then they still have your stuff up, type out a letter (a real one)setting them a 2nd date (take the time into account that it takes for your letter to reach them) of 10 days, send it registered and return receipt requested.
It'll help to formally mention that you revoke permission that they distribute your work in any form - mention that in the phonecall and in the letter.
