Well, our primary intention was to draw interest to our DSP capabilities, not so much to get into the EQ marketplace...
I think we have finally succeeded...

I see that Receptor is generally good for one instance at level 5. 80% load. So apparently the AMD chipset is choking a bit on our optimized Pentium code...
Anyone know if AMD has a high-quality reference compiler like the one provided by Intel?

Hi David,
cool, now I can even use quality 5. Though I didn't test the quality difference between 4 and 5. Will do later if it's worth it. It eats more CPU so it's important.
I understand that you say that this is the final release but not all bugs are fixed. Sorry, really ...
I can't reload projects without crashing.
Presets don't show correct values and/or slider positions after reloading presets.
Nuendo gets a serious problem after rendering. Have to restart.
The volume change problem I reported earlier today is still there.
This all leads to a suboptimal workflow: Make my settings, make a screenshot of it, save the screenshot, make some silence part before the region to render, then render it, Nuendo plays dead so I have to close it. The exported audio is fine minus the silence at the start so I cut it off. For more work with it restart Nuendo and copy by hand my "presets" from the screenshot I made earlier...
I'm definitely thankful for this freebie as it is right now because it SOUNDS SO GOOD!!! But the workflow is suboptimal for me right now.
That somehow reminds me of a Strat player with a full cranked Marshall stack. Is my guitar in tune or did my whacky whammy bar detune my guitar too much? Right angle to the amp to avoid excessive hum while playing? When not playing turn down the volume on the guitar to not get the big hum party. Etc, etc.
All the best, FRitz

It's me who has to apologise tho.. sorry, I'm not going to buy your full 10 band product, this freebie is just too good.![]()

the 10 band vershion is somewhat costly, but i hope you get some sales from it to make up for all the work you have done for us to have this freebie!!!
Thanx

Now this is interesting.... looking over yesterday's Nuendo log file, I don't see Nuendo ever telling the plugin to set any parameters. It only asks for what the parameters already are...
All my other hosts ask for and record the settings and then spit them back at the plugins on startup.
Now why would Nuendo be acting this way when every other VST host offers its services? Do any of your other plugins on Nuendo have this same problem?
Perhaps I have to extend the VST interface inside the plugin to do the recording and program settings?

Reloading parameter settings works on all the hosts here: T2, Cubase SL, Sonar 5, MiniHost, Audition, Receptor.
Do any of the other hosts have the problems mentioned for Nuendo?

I could send you another debug file with saving and loading of presets? And yes, I heard it way often that, funny as it sounds, other hosts seem to work more according to Steinbergs VST standards ...
Actually in this case it's not really funny but my problem.
Best wishes, FRitz

Works fine here in FL Studio, EnergyXT and Wavelab. Loads all saved projects/songs/presets without any problems.

Yes, please send along a log file containing two cycles of startup and shutdown, at least. That would help a lot.
I will make sure that Nuendo gets a fair shake on this one too!

Version 1.31 now available -- adds canonical VST protocol for handling program presets -- 32 presets per bank. Host dictates how these are stored. For example, T2 allows you to save/load individual presets as well as entire bank files... Your host may vary...

Is it possible to tell me a bit about your system, and some indication of what is happening?
What quality level did you have running when you saved the project? What kind of machine (Intel or AMD) CPU speed?
Do you have any hosts in which it runs correctly?

Hi!
My system is a Sony Vaio VGN-FS285M: Pentium M740 1GB RAM. The soundcard is a M-Audio Audiophile USB.
- The EQ (PLParEQ4) works fine with all levels of Quality (and it´s splendid...).
- After that, I save the project and close Cubase.
- When i try to reload the project, Cubase crashes.
- If i delete the PlParEq4.dll (in VSTPlugins), then the project reopen ok... (but with no PLParEQ4).
This happens in all the qualities.

Lamentably only I have Cubase...Do you have any hosts in which it runs correctly?
