Tempo detection
I loaded an 8-beat loop at 152 BPM, LiveSlice detected it to be a 4-beat loop and set tempo to 76 BPM (the Host tempo was 120)
I would think that the tempo and length would have been deduced to be the correct ones in this circumstance, as this was only 27% (152/120) variance.
ohm, can you let us know what the algorithm is for deducing the tmepo and number of beats?
many thanks
LiveSlice- BR: or "User Error"?

can you give some info on the sample you used? samplerate, bitrate, mono or stereo? i had the same sometimes using samples which had another bitrate than 16bit..

heh, I just changed the algorithm for tempo detection actually, just before reading this. Now what it does is to find the closest match to the host bpm that can be calculated from a duration that is a multiple of 4 beats. In the case you describe that would be 152, and not 76.
There'll be an update next week.
