Ever read anything about actually making a song sound good? You can have the most kickass sound on its own but when you add drums, bass, and all that it'll sound like shit because it interferes with the other stuff. Thats what the EQ is for. After the EQ, the individual sounds sound like shit, but together it sounds good. Basic mastering.

naturally, i always layer sounds. it's possible to layer sounds so it must be useful. Beethoven made a great use of sound layers in his symphonic works, so why wouldn't you do it?

This is hilarious indeed. Despite possibly agreeing or disagreeing with Bones, he has his own way of putting things, call it style if you will. No, its def Reason, its limited because you can only use what THEY give you , not what YOU want to, unless you Re-Wire it, which is a joke.

Its a basic piece of music kit for ppl who want to play around and mess with ideas, its not of an adequate quality both sound wise and feature wise to make anything of a high standard in.


But, if you're happy with those limitations, you keep using it.
