Wrong, thats basic mixingarke wrote: Ever read anything about actually making a song sound good? You can have the most kickass sound on its own but when you add drums, bass, and all that it'll sound like shit because it interferes with the other stuff. Thats what the EQ is for. After the EQ, the individual sounds sound like shit, but together it sounds good. Basic mastering.

But hey, it doesn't mean that my workflow is the same as yoursIt does, you're just too stupid to see it.it doesn't mean that ORION is the best choice for me.Your perfectly ludicrous way of working, no doubt. I bet you layer sounds, don't you?For example the channel paradigm, you see it as a stupid old limitation while it fits my way of working perfectly...What fkucing planet are you living on. Mine is a big, round shit-hole with virtually no redeeming features whatsoever. To each his own. i leave you with your ORION and i'll keep my FL. Perfect world.
See, its fun and, as I explained somewhere earlier, its about the only way to drag any useful information out of people on this forum. Look at your own post - I don't care that you're happy but I might be interested in exactly why FL suits your workflow.
you're right it's a lot of fun. i particularly like the bit about me being too stupid to see that ORION is the best choice for me!
as for layering sounds, i never do that, if you can believe me.

Nope, he's not the next BONES wannabe, because BONES at least has some common sense.
What makes Reason disqualify as a host in your opinion?

Nope, when I don't need them I collapse them which takes almost no space.Kriminal wrote:Yeah, must be great watching the pretty colours scroll up and down your screen all day while you are trying to find the bit you want

True, he uses Orion.arke wrote:BONES at least has some common sense.![]()
Well, lets see, what can you 'host' in Reason, what can you actually load into it?arke wrote: What makes Reason disqualify as a host in your opinion?

No! No! No! You are supposed to come back and say something like "of course I layer sounds, why else would layering be there!?!" and for extra effect you could assert that BT or someone else that I've never heard of outside of KVR does it.Wopelka wrote:as for layering sounds, i never do that, if you can believe me.

naturally, i always layer sounds. it's possible to layer sounds so it must be useful. Beethoven made a great use of sound layers in his symphonic works, so why wouldn't you do it?
your turn

This is hilarious indeed. Despite possibly agreeing or disagreeing with Bones, he has his own way of putting things, call it style if you will. And he has always had good points about usability, somethings that's still largely overlooked by the majority (must be the media if the message doesn't get across
)
But what happened to the gentler, more understandable, sometimes even sense-making Kriminal? :O
I have a theory that Orion does this to people... It just hasn't happened to me yet - but I'm not using Platinum.
Puzzling.

KRIMINAL - your signature is childish. Also, you really are missing the point of Reason aren't you, but maybe that's because it's conceptual and minimalistic, the kind of stuff you aren't interested in.

No, its def Reason, its limited because you can only use what THEY give you , not what YOU want to, unless you Re-Wire it, which is a joke.Cryogenic wrote:Or is it YOU thats limited?Kriminal wrote:..or maybe its a limited piece of software that sounds crap? Its a basic piece of music kit for ppl who want to play around and mess with ideas, its not of an adequate quality both sound wise and feature wise to make anything of a high standard in.
But, if you're happy with those limitations, you keep using it.
