Dan is monitoring these threads and is well pleased that his contributions are being well received and appreciated.blaster78 wrote:i am loving these samples, many thanks steve.

I am glad that they are being used creatively (it would be cool if you posted up some MP3 of them in action if that's possible).
I have to say that I was skeptical when Dan first approached me with these as they are not in keeping with my usual offerings of vintage synths, etc., but when I heard them, I realised that they were a bit special and Dan was so keen to share them with the wider sampling community, I felt compelled to host them out of respect for him and the efforts he has gone to not only to record (and edit and loop) these sounds so beautifully but to get them to me. I can't take full credit for them - all I did was take a twist on them with the detuned, chorus versions and pads, etc..
Either way, it's good to know that they are appreciated.

Nice - the chimes add a certain 'organic' quality to the track.blaster78 wrote:as promised, heres a tune which uses the windchime samples.

Well it looks a little like a love affair between Blaster78 and Hollowsun, but surely this is what this type of forum is all about. Dan produces a sample for Steve, who hosts it, and Blaster78 writes an original tune inspired by the sample and posts it for us all to enjoy. Just brilliant, I wish I could write someting as good so quickly. I feel like a group hug is coming on.
Why are you all running away?

I'd just like to add my thanks for these samples, the singing bowl is my favourite but I also love the wind chimes. I love these unusual sounds they add something v special to the music. I also loved the noise and unusual ambiences that Spe3d put up a while ago,I've been putting them through camelspace and getting some lovely percolating rhythms.
