Hey guys,
Just got my BCR2000 last week. Reading all the threads on the BCR and BCF have been super helpfull. Thanx for keeping the dialogue up. Just wanted to let everyone know there's been some updates on the behringer site, including a 1.10 firmware update.
As well, I have not read anyone mention how amazing the BCR is with Reason 3. Simply by selecting the device in the preferences under the midi section, and selecting surface mapping, your BCR is totally locked with Reason, you never have to change the presets. You simply select a different instrument, effect, etc, and the LED's change on the BCR. Pretty amazing. I havn't used reason in some time, but am sure to be a regular user again.
I'm going to try the suggestions on this site to get some midi feedback to the BCR using Neundo 2.2. I'll let you know how it goes.
By the way, bebop, thanx for keeping the page up, and i'll try to contribute back when I can.

Finally - BC Edit sees the device in OSX! I installed this:http://www.macmusic.org/softs/view.php/lang/EN/id/2632/ (http://www.macmusic.org/softs/view.php/lang/EN/id/2632/)
Now Java can use MIDI in OSX!
I am able to copy Presets from the BCR2000 to my computer. However, When I edit them and try to send them back to the BCR2000 I get the following error:
Timeout Error
while sending
"$rev R1"
We are currently working on:
"$rev R1"
Does anyone know what that means? Is there a way to solve this error is OSX. I am almost there! I can feel it!

BC Edit has a problem with the latest version of Java i believe ( 1.5 or whatever it is), will not send sysex with it. Need to roll back to the previous version of Java runtime ( 1.4.2 or somesuch), also available on the Java website. Hope this helps !

Unfortunately It didn't. I am running the following Java version:
java version "1.4.2_05"
Java(TM) 2 Runtime Environment, Standard Edition (build 1.4.2_05-141.4)
Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM (build 1.4.2-38, mixed mode)
I don't know if there is another problem in OSX.
Anyone?
Thanks!

Excellent thread bebop, thanks for starting one up. Does anyone have a template or preset for the BCF2000 to use in Samplitude V8.2 Pro?bebop wrote:Hello,
The happy owners of a Behringer BCF2000 and/or BCR2000 midi controllers are invited to share their experiences and presets here :

Help yourself and mail yours at papertinsel@yahoo.com
I see that there is one for the BCR2000, but logic dictates that I cannot it in the BCF2000?
Anyone using the BCF2000 in Samplitude?
Thanks,

What could I've done wrong?

Hi guys!
I read the manual through, many times, I can set up my used applications, everything fine.
But how the hell can I store/recall presets, I mean not just the parameters of the knobs, but their _values_ as well?
Eg. the init settings for my liveact, etc.
thanks,

say you're on preset 1, move the buttons and faders to suitable parameters.
press "store" once and use the preset keys to select eg preset 5, then press "store" 3 times
go back to preset 1, tweak again, repeat and select eg preset 6 for storing

Hitting the store button stores the actual set up for the current preset slot. It stores the knobs' parameters, CC number, mode, etc. But does not store the knob's value.djsubject wrote:dosent hitting store button twice make it recall full paramaters?

To be totally clear, I set up the application, everything MIDI learns the CC, I set up the knobs on the BCR, cool. But if I tweak everything to my init position (set the filters opened, volume faders fully up, etc.), I store the preset again.
But next time when I switch the BCR on, and select the stored preset, all of the knobs are in their initial position, although their functionality (CC number, mode, etc) are recalled.
But I must set up my init setup again.
(open the filters, volume faders, etc.)
It's ok, it stores the preset, but I need the preset's total recall, so if I tweak away some knobs, I need to restore the previously set state of the knobs.Colonel Flashback wrote:say you're on preset 1, move the buttons and faders to suitable parameters.

Maybe I have old firmware? How can I check that?
anyway, thanks for the quick replies

it's probably your host that is updating the bcr with the parameters it has in its template set

lunatic, it's up to your application to recall the values.
in FL e.g. when i open a project, all values are restored.
(very impressing seeing everything move/light up once, btw.
)
though to accomplish this in FL you need to setup a dashboard for it first, but it works here.
