i read that there's increased hostility here (i'm just a newbie, so i wouldn't know). could it be frustration? are we not where we want to be? have we not met our expectations?
myself? kvr has helped me do more than i'd imagined

The highest form of knowledge is empathy, for it requires us to suspend our egos and live in another's world. It requires profound, purpose‐larger‐than‐the‐self kind of understanding.

Sometimes you just have to ignore things. The problem is some people can't and have a need to reply. Then the egos feed off of each other.
And, yes, they are destroying what used to be a better place.
A few times recently when Ben had to close a thread he was very weary of the behavior and I fear that some day he will have had enough and close the site down.

I've only been here since July, but I've also noticed a change in KVR's atmosphere. Unfortunately forums, chats, etc. seem to go down hill after a while, and that's probably what's happening to this place. New people come and the old people are prone to getting clannish, and then there's a stupid war between the new and old, etc. I hope I'm wrong on this, though.PT wrote:Sometimes you just have to ignore things. Edited to put the last sentence back in.

same here.... on another note, someone kinda upset me here the other day and i realized that he's just a piece of shit. no reason to get mad at a piece of shit. although, if he had the balls to say shit like that to my face, being semi-barbaric i'd kick his ass really bad. but let's not even go there as i'm not too happy about my anger-management skills at the moment. maybe too much stress or something. i just hate it when people insult me for no reason. i gotta control myself, and the same goes for everyone else imo.androidlove wrote: myself? kvr has helped me do more than i'd imagined

you know, the old prank..you put some dog crap in a paper bag, put it on somones frontdoor step, light it on fire, ring the doorbell and run....then the homeowner opens the door, stomps out the fire and goes back inside...tuz wrote:crap Hink!!! language barrier/interpretation/brainfart alert (english second language although your neighborHink wrote: so I did put the flaming bag on the right doorstep...)... i don't understand what you mean exactly.
