AudioDamage got me...but I hope to get some further infos on both products from the users or AudioDamage crew. :help:

1-an extimate cpu usage. (I read about Ratshack being quite light, just a double check)
2-is automation possible on all parameters?
3-do they have pre-assigned CCs?

[edit]
fcuk it! just noticed the DubStation thread. Mine.

i sent them an email asking some info about their plugins and they never replied

dunno if it's a seller's market or a buyer's one really!

I have both, love both, use both often, but may not be of much help to you:

1- I have never noticed any significant CPU usage, but I have a P4 3.2 GHz CPU, so can't say as I notice CPU consumption much at all these days. For what it is worth, Dubstation shares code with Ronin, and I used to use that with no problems on my old P2 333MHz.

2- yes

3- don't know, I map all CCs via the host interface. Both Digitalis plugins (Discord, Deverb) and Ronin have fairly extensive CC mappings, so I wouldn't be surprised if Dubstation and Ratshack do, too.

Some off in the distance good news, Chris from AD has mentioned that Ratshack will be updated in the coming year or so, getting a DSP overhaul to be more closely modelled on the real thing.

Hope that helps (a little at least).

Cheers,
Steve

Sorry, this one snuck by me. I try to answer every single e-mail, but sometimes one gets away. Sorry about that. Anyways, to answer:

1: CPU - Our plugs are written for modern CPUs, so as long as you're using something in the 1.5 gHz or better neck of the woods on PC or 833 or better Mac, there won't be much noticable load on most of our plugins. Ronin, by its nature, is a bit heavier. (A lot is going on with that one.)

2: Automation - all parameters of every plug appear in the automation window. With Mayhem, you can even automate the "about" screens (we were young and stupid and trying to be clever...)

3: For the VST versions, DubStation, Discord, and Ronin have full MIDI learn of every parameter. You can assign any CC to any knob, switch, or slider. Deverb has specific mappings to specific knobs. Ratshack Reverb and the Mayhem package have no MIDI CC control built in, so you'll have to do it via your host. The AU versions have no CC mappings because AU controller mapping is done at the host level.

Hope that helps, and once again, I'm sorry I missed your email. I'm usually very good about getting back to people promptly.

oh, too kind, no problem. I didn't mailed AD inc.
I trusted the comments around and went for both RatShack and DubStation, dubby bliss followed..
What you wrote is 100% true and I'm enjoying a lot, so I got all remaining answers from the plugs.

thanx anyway...keep on, can't wait for the new filterbank.
