Hello. I have been searching the net for free Nord Lead samples... with no success. Is there any synth that produces lead sounds, that are similiar to Nord Lead? I am looking to add some "crunk" lead synth lines to a track i am working on.... i really wanted Nord Lead for the digital character... any synths make similiar sounds? if so, where can i get samples? thanks

oh... also i am looking for samples or sf2, not a vst. i had tried synth 1 to create these sounds... but i really would prefer to use samples. thanks

"JellyFilter was copied from a red Swedish lead synth idol (which is available in 3 versions to my knowledge) and implies some more functionality, at some point less functionality"

While not samples, Discovery by DiscoDSP is a virtual synth based on the Nord Lead, to the point where I think it accepts Sysex program dumps from the Nord.

The Jellyfilter webpage made my eyes bleed. What kind of sadist comes up with a color scheme like that?
Excuse all the blood.

You know, Nord Lead 2's are pretty cheap these days. If you can find £250 you should be able to take one home.

Why try to emulate the sound you want, when you probably afford the real deal?

i was considering a Nord Mirco Modular actually..... I used to own one and wish i never sold it. I also used to own a Nord Lead 2 rack... but sold it. I did not need them at the time, but now regret selling both of them. Especially the Micro mod... that is one insane piece of kit.
