In some villages here in Belgium, priests do car blessings annually. Pay the man and he'll spray your car.

Where's that "Ha! Ha! I sprayed your preamp" pic when you need it :?

Post

Nobody ever asks me to do that. They might offer money if I didn't... but I'd get in a heap o' trouble.

no more insane than moogeiophiles or <insert trendy object here> philes. if people pay money for that stuff, man, those producers are f**king BRILLIANT!

if i were to say: moog instruments are for the most part low class in quality. synth1 sucks. <insert brand you love here> sucks. would you be angry? if so, you're just as dumb as these 'audiophiles'. why not be smart like the producers of those extremely expensive and useless (thus easy to produce) objects instead? man.. i know what business i want to get into. the next retard driven trend.

Given that synth1 is free, it really doesn't fit you analogy.

And I daresay a moog modular would have better resale value than a 485 dollar wooden knob

Yeah, you go, aciddoes! Moog: Audiophile Edition Softsynth. You could charge thousands by using your secret Egyptian oxygen-free analog algos. :)

Or wait! You could claim you 'channelled' the code from, well, you know who.
perception: the stuff reality is made of.

Of course not. Why would any opinion you hold (or profess to hold) make me angry? *shrug* I think for myself, thank you.

And don't forget, when you buy their $6,800 volume controls: "Silver Rocks cannot be returned or exchanged for any reason so please make sure it fits in your system by trying a demo unit."

i dont care if it is free, it fits the consept perfectly. since i was not taking any part of the price of these objects into account. i only took into account thier apparent desirabilty, or popularity. if synth1 was not free, or not made by some japanese guy, do you think it would be as popular? its an interesting thought you've shared, in that part, atleast.

is it about quality? or is it about apearance? definitely something to consider.

regardless, the producers who make that kind of money, and the people "audiophiles" who have that kind of money to waste on that stuff, are better off than you or me, dont you think?

But the price is what was being objected to.
