I might try that as well...

Well- I'm all for earning good money, and I know it's tough in business, but I wouldn't be happy selling snake oil...

Well the material is about the same as your average squash ball (I actually have sliced squash balls under the monitors in my studio). So I'll be selling these sliced $5 squash balls wait, Speaker Resonance Damper System H322i for a hefty profit.

i'd like to mention desirabilty and popularity, trendyness, brand of an item makes more of the price than anything. i assume you've heard of supply and demand, right? if people are willing to pay such a high price, the producers will charge that much for it. the consept is to produce the highest profit, not to gain the highest gross sales income.

since demand dictates price, everything i said seems correct in my opinion.

it isnt a ripoff job either, that these producers are doing. you would feel ripped off buying these items, i'm sure. but do the owners of these items feel unhappy? the producers are giving the customers what they demand. there is nothing wrong happening here.

- unless, of course, you want one too :) not jealous are you?

And make sure you have two files. A before AND after. But they can be the same file. You want the most qualified buyers, the ones who can imagine the improvement. :D

Quad CD player, VdH D103 interconnect, AVC Valve amp, JPS speaker cables, IPL4 Transmission line speakers. Bl**dy best hifi I have ever heard and I have heard many. Happily nuts!

You stick to your ghetto-blaster farlukar, it's not the way I choose to go.

Admittedly, some of us are a bit bonkers, but that's people for you!
Did you bother to read any of farluker's link before getting all defensive?
Oh. I never realised it was a link, just thought it was a short post in green text.

Driver's Prayer

Sacred Heart of Jesus, grant me
a steady hand and watchful eye,
that none be hurt as I pass by.
Thou givest life. I pray no act of mine
take away or mar that gift Divine.
Protect those, Lord, who travel with me
from highway dangers and all anxiety.
Teach me to use my car for others' needs
and never miss the beauty of Thy
world through excessive speed.
I pledge to drive with loving concern
to my every destination,
offering each travel hour to Thee
in a spirit of reparation.
Most Sacred Heart of Jesus,
my auto Companion,
have mercy on me.

Where's that earwax build up discussion link now that we need it.

Yeah, there was a guy asking what the best earwax build up is for mixing situations, you know, if people preferred to have lots of it (high end roll off) or clean ears (treble boost).

Oh by the way I wasn't actually kidding about those squash balls. They really do work and they kill all speaker resonance (provided you have good stands in the first place). I've even got spec graphs made with a measurement mic that show scientific proof. Consider that the 'speaker improvement tip of the day'.

Then again, the potential client base isn't into science.

and this post was dedicated to my auto Companion, jesus of nazareth.

no this was somewhere completely else. and there's hope in the world as the rest of the people in that thread tried hard to pull the poor fella back to earth. Although there were suggestions on the benefits on dreads vs. bald head (hi class reflection damping material vs. oiled leather).

One consideration is wether you want to wear wool in the studio or be completely naked or even shave all hair. Again, it's the difference between reflection damping material and oiled leather. It all comes down to aesthetic choice really. I'm naked and there's nothing you can do about it. :help:

Then there was the guy who maintains that sounds played from one particular hard drive sounded better than when played from another... :P

20-40% better, perchance? O_:-}

It was the near legendary http://www.johnvestman.com/

an all around enjoyable read. And the high class clients just keep rolling in.

There's also a good deal of info on burning CDs on 1x speed when writing glass masters (granted that was like 10 years ago).
