Glad you like 'em! To be perfectly honest, i wasn't really thinking about there being a specific downbeat, although I was aware that the noise hits might sound like a backbeat, so I shuffled those about about a bit...duncanparsons wrote:Scot, I love the way some of the new ones have their downbeat further along the sample.. it could mean that shifted meters can run underneath a melody with comparative ease.
btw, are you still stumbling down the left-handed path, or has there been some 'getting better'ness?
DSP
If I were asked, I would say that I am now once again "right-handed". After a lot of physical therapy and a lot of effort, my right hand is as good as it will ever be. I still can't make a tight fist, open a jar or touch my middle, index or ring fingers to my palm. Yet I have remained diligent. I have been re-learning to draw again, and my signature looks almost like it used to, much to the relief of my bankers! I am relearning within the limitations, and it is coming along. I can't play a solo like I used to, but that doesn't stop me from exploring other methods of noodlery during the middle-eight...
On the plus side, my left hand playing is getting better. As a child of the monosynth era, my left hand was always crap on the keys...
