This has always been the one I was most excited about. Any update on progress? ...a release timeframe? ...maybe some updated stats like how big the library is looking, etc?

Post

The library is looking good. It's a lot of work though which is why it is taking so long (plus we had Miroslav Philharmik to do as well). But, worth the wait. We want it to be versatile for virtual band production. It will also take advantage of the newest ST engine (like Philharmonik does) so it can have some of the benefits there. Time frame is before the end of the year. I do have a few surprises that may make it totally worth the wait however.

I tell you what I'd like to see...some really nice new bass samples. Something that can compete with Trilogy or Hardcore Bass. Maybe not the entire package, but bass 'quality' on that level with playable articulation like those offer. Then combine that with some of that Ampeg technology IK has been working on all rolled into the Sampletank 2 engine. I mean...how sweet would that be??

Yeah, well... we'll see. :D

Just installed Sampletank 2.1 and it rocks!!!

But I really need some realistic bass samples, especially from 5- and 6-string basses with a punchy low-end. :help:

Is there any news concerning Studiophonik, some more details to reveal, Squids???

Post

Well, some details to look forward to are that it will have a similar engine/set up to Miroslav Philharmonik as far as effect routing etc. That's all I can reveal right now though. Maybe even a CSReverb too (a $400 high end reverb algo). We'll see. This is the next big one to come out though. I hope to have it completed soon. I've been using an early version and it is really amazing! A true producer's tool kit for creating a virtual band. That with Miroslav Philharmonik is a virtual Beatles in a box. :D (okay and some trons too)
