David,

you asked for feedback, you got feedback ;) I did point out that no mastering engineer will base a decision whether or not to be interested in a piece of equipment on how it looks. As you laid out, however, that you want to cater to only mastering engineers but others as well I explained that you might want your plugins to *look* good in magazines as well. People don't hear the sound there, and most mixing engineers aren't too impressed by specs that get a mastering engineer excited.
Hope I got it across the way it was intended now.

best

Markus

Yes, indeed, I did ask... and I do appreciate what you are all saying. Perhaps in time we will become more accommodating. Right now we have to draw a closure to this little adventure....

In reality, even in protools/TDM world attractive interface is really the first or the second priority.
Sad but true. :scared:

Pretty but apparently crap sounding..

Well... wouldn't you know it... in the rush to saw it off to 3 bands, for some reason the initial presets are not coming up with correct default values.

In the big boy all the presets default to 1 kHz, Q = 0.707 and Gain = 0 dB.

Go figure...

Oh,

is this the next bug report round?

Best wishes, FRitz

P.S. Nevermind, the Algorithmix EQs are full of bugs, too. :D
In the end will be the word.

Any bugs are very likely going to be confined to the GUI. Nothing has changed in the DSP core.

That's so refreshing, David. A genius like you using my woodbutcher's axiom for software dev:
Measure once, cut twice. :)
or it's corollary:
Cut first, measure and re-cut later.

Thanks for sharing your spectacular EQ and oh, so human, development cycle with us Kvr plebs!
perception: the stuff reality is made of.
