Hi,
I am currently paring down the gear in my studio to what I like and need. I have have a Lexicon MPX-110 reverb and was considering selling it and purchasing a software verb.
I have the UAD-1 EMT Plate, so I feel I have the plate end of things covered well. I also have the Realverb Pro that came with the card.
I guess I was thinking about selling the Lexicon and buying ArtsAcoustic Reverb, R66, or something similar. I am looking for anyone with any experience with these reverbs willing to give some adivce.
Thanks,
Craig

I am in the same situation.
I used to think MPX-110 was great until I got the UAD.
Now it sounds yuk.
Luckly I am happy with the EMT-140 and the RealVerb and I don't need anything else.

I had an MPX-100, not bad.
I have a tc electronics m300 now that I would recommend a bit more, although I still use several (freeware) vsts from time to time.
That being said I also just picked up an old core32 with dual pcm-90s and they seem a bit smoother than the tc or any of the vsts I have tried so far.

Just went and A/B'd the mpx-110 on a vocal VS the EMT Plate, RealVerb, and the R66 demo.
I think all three kicked the crap out of the mpx-110. I hear a lot of odd harmonic stuff going on with the 110, when I don't with any of the others. It's inching toward the selling block.

I owned the mpx 110 for a while. To be fair, I only ever used it in the headphone mix while tracking, but I heard enough of it to be sure that I'd rather have a plugin. I mainly use the AA and the uad plate, but I think there's loads that would be a step up from the mpx 110.
Grist for the glamour mill.

I have an MPX550 and think sometimes similar. For some stuff the MasterVerb from WaveArts works good for me, but many people give the ArtAcoustic Verb high marks.
I'am waiting this time for the upcoming MasterVerb 5 from WaveArts (available nov) which includes a true plate reverb.
But to my ears the Lexicon reverb is awesome. I would not sell it.
