average piano has around 220 -250 strings, depending on the scale.

my baldwin studio has 10 single bass strings
18 double unisons
and the rest are three string unisons.
so that makes about 226 strings

44 x 4 string bass guitars = my choice 
Assuming they don’t need a re-string, give it about 30 secs per guitar to tune up = way way quicker than tuning a piano. Assuming they don’t need a re-string, give it about 30 secs per guitar to tune up = way way quicker than tuning a piano, particularly an upright, though I would love to tune a baby grand instead. next guitar

I can tune a guitar, so I could theoretically tune forty-four guitars. There's not a chance this side of Hades that I could tune a piano. So I'll take the guitars.
