I've mentioned before that I did a video going deep into some of the special features of Miroslav Philharmonik. I promised that I would tell you guys when it is up so here it is:

http://www.philharmonik.com/MainPhp.htm ... php&Id=455

Also there are some cool new audio demos from a really talented composer named Luca. Check it out.

Wow - only listened to Desert Run so far and I have to say if I could compose, arrange and put everything together like this I'd probably quit my job tomorrow.

Blistering!

Now to the next one.

The audio samples are very good indeed.

Squids, which one is the new video? I see 5 of them, are the 5 all new?

Yeah, all 5 segments are new. This was a task I took quite seriously. The original video was nearly an hour long. We had to edit it down (Squids tend to ramble... although it was like a video manual really! I went over EVERYTHING!!!! To exhaustion  ). These are the useful highlights of that.

One of the most intriquing is the one about Stretch. FINALLY you guys get to see the new Stretch of the 2.1 engine doing what it can to give Philharmonik an extra edge over any other orchestral product with these rare powerful features in sound/performance manipulation.

Enjoy!

Btw, yes Caleb, I think Luca is brilliant.

Is there any particular media player these videos are supposed to play on?

I've tried RealPlayer, Windows Media Player, Quicktime Player and Winamp and none of them will play this video. RealPlayer and Winamp will play sound only....that's about it.

I had the same problem - nothing would play the videos! Then I had the idea to download the latest version of Quicktime, and that did the trick. So, if you are using a copy of Quicktime that is a few months old, then try the version 7.0.3.

Ahhhhhh - Quicktime.
Going to download now.

So Squids,

Any chance we can get a peek at this hour long video. I mean, I watched the videos but thought they were a little short.

Oh and I think Luca is brilliant as well.
Cubase SX, SampleTank 2XL, SonikSynth 2, Miraslav Philharmonik, Amplitude, Real Guitar, A Real Guitar, Guitar Rig, Brain, some sort of limited talent Ver. 22.

Well Squids - had a look at all the videos.

They seemed to be there more to dazzle than educate, but I was very happy with the STRETCH one. It actually showed me some of the things STRETCH is really good for in Miro.

Good move using the viola for that too as it made me realise that Miro would make a lovely country fiddle as well. :)

The video quality itself was a little dodgy. I couldn't read anything that was on the screen which was unfortunate. But that's the way things go I guess.

You presented it very well though.

Squids -
Any chance of a new video series devoted to the new ST2.1?
thanks

Maybe. If enough people really wanted to see it then perhaps we'll do something. Otherwise it remains on the virtual cutting room floor!

Thanks. Yeah, it is small for download. There is a version that is much better resolution where you can read the screen I believe. Maybe eventually it will come out on a DVD or CD. For now though you get the "dazzle" as best I can. ;)
