I've listened to a few and tried a few. My advice, don't think of these as tools to produce a completed work, mainly just as a guide for a real orchestra to perform.... Well, we can dream can't we?

I recently got Miroslav Philharmonic. The "combi" presets that layer several patches sound pretty good and they are dynamic enough to convey emotion. The 98meg Steinway was suprisingly nice. The choirs and organs didn't do much for me. Most recent Roland hardware synths have better "cathedral organs" and the African choirs by Hanz Zimmer sound "fuller & richer" IMHO. I would love to get the really huge libraries that are available, but I don't have the $ or the multiple PC's required to use them! Check out the new Garritan Solo Violin sample set for Kontact2. The demos sound amazing! Just my opinion. -Perry-

You might find the Kirk Hunter Emerald library might fit just right in the (almost) "huge library" niche. Its not huge, its extremely large and sounds just excellent.
