I Wish that Sampletank and miro had a easier way to go through presets, it's the one thing that Bugs me the most, there needs to be more space, also Scroll Wheel suport would help a little but SampleTank 2.1 doesn't allow in Logic, WHY? if it's a Bug please please fix it soon,

Double clicking everytime you want to hear a preset is tedious, why not just click or somthing thats easier, it is so obvious to me so why has IK not come up with better, they must use it , so they must know it's a bit tedious auditioning lots of presets.

My other gripe is it's all to small, I find it hard to look at and see the text easily, why not make it all bigger?

This thread doesn't really belong here AFAIK, but I would disagree with the single-clicking for auditioning presets. It would be nice for when you're just going through sounds, but it makes it a little too easy to accidentally replace an instrument you were working with for my tastes.

And scroll-wheel doesn't work in FL, eXT, DP, and other hosts that I haven't bothered to remember, in addition to Logic, so join the club :P although it doesn't seem like there's all that great of a clamor, it's a pretty tiny feature after all.

With over 2500 presets?? Your kidding, right?

Requests for SampleTank features are okay to hear. In fact, I like to hear those to get feedback so I can request them to make users of our sounds in ST happier.

I do like the size myself and one can always get a larger monitor technically there. The ways of auditioning sounds can always be improved. Scrollwheel support is someting that is being addressed and is already working in certain platform/set ups. Maybe that is a good sign? ;)

It would be nice if the interface came in two sizes, with a hot button to switch between them. The standard size is fine for 10x7 applications, but at 12x10 or larger it's looking kinda small, especially on a laptop.

Here are my requests:

1. That scroll wheel thing is my number one so thats good to hear.

2. I'd like the active keys to be highlighted even in non-zone mode.

3. I'd also like hitting various portions of the key on screen with the mouse resulting in strikes of varying velocities (ala gigastudio and kontakt)

4. A way to set the start to have CSR off by default.

thanks

Oh, and heres one that technically might fall under bug, but it might be a feature request too:

I had a corrupt drive that my miroslav samples were on. Some were screwed, some were fine, but i didn't really know it at the time. My viola was screwed, and when i tried to load it it basically just hung the interface. So, really, maybe there could be a feature that validates the files as they are loaded and if they are not correct for some reason, a note to the user or something to that effect.

I'll chime in with a few feature requests. I know I'm not the only person who needs to use the tenCrazy sustain fix in order for my sustain pedal to work properly. It would be nice to have a midi fx bin in the stand alone version, or,,,,,,,,,,,,,,better yet,,,,,,,, provide a (selectable) solution built in so keyboards that work like mine can use the stand alone version with sustain properly working.

I've sent the tenCrazy solution to a lot of people to use in Sonar, and other hosts and I've been thanked so many times for that advise, but here's a confession. I don't really know why some boards work like this. Can anyone shine any light on that? (I'm using an old DX-7 and an old RD300 DP as controllers)

At any rate, the scroll feature in stand alone works fine here, but when I use it, I don't have any sustain pedal, and the notes cut off really quickly when I release a key. FWIW, the scroll feature is not working in Sonar.

Also, although Kim's advise to bump up the polyphony has helped greatly, sometimes I still get that phenom of a note not holding out for the proper duration. I sometimes play a sort of Elton John inspired style with piano voices, where I will play rhythmic chord progressions, while holding the pedal down. Like I say, Kim's suggestion to me greatly improved it, and it's a pretty rare occurance, but it does happen occasionally. I'm wondering if any of you guys are expiriencing this??

Another dream feature would be a learn function for Sampletank features. I LOVE the learn function on Tassman. (Simply right click on any function and select"learn", and the next slider or knob you move on your controller takes over the parameter settings. The movments are recordable, too.) I'd love to have something like this in Sampletank!!!!!!

I would also like to see a place for your combi names to be displayed on the GUI. It seems that, when I create and save a combi, and then save my project, it doesn't give me the combi name anywhere when I reload the file. That would sure be nice to have... hint hint,,,,, (BTW, I have this same request for patch names in Amplitube)

Another huge request,,, (we touched on this a while back, on this forum), would be to be able to load combi's into other combi's,,, so that if you have a sound made up of more than one voice on a channel, that you could import it into another combi, making creating ensembles of multiple voice combi's easier to accomplish. (A kind of combi blend feature.) As it is now, we need to have a separate instance of Sampletank open for each combi, or enter the data manually. (I would always opt for the separate instance, lol)

My final request could be controversial, so get your mouse ready to moderate Squids. I would like to see a keyed version of Sampletank available for those of us who are registered Philharmonik and Sampletank owners. To me the biggest disappointment of having a key for Philharmonik is that I can't create combi's with Philharmonik and the rest of my SR libraries.

I would like to put my authorisation for ST2 on my Miro key as well actually.

Sorry everyone - don't beat me up for this.

I agree with HG as well, about the multiple combis.

Like when you click combi you have two options- Add New and Append - and then inside each are the combis...so I could mix and match how I wanted.

Scroll wheel works in cubase... :) so no worrys there.

A large and normal size version would be nice.

And a .ini file or some setup file that I could determine how I want certain parameters to start up...Vol_default - 100, Pan_default - L45, EffectSend_default - None.

Just an example.

And an Expand all, Colapse all button.
Cubase SX, SampleTank 2XL, SonikSynth 2, Miraslav Philharmonik, Amplitude, Real Guitar, A Real Guitar, Guitar Rig, Brain, some sort of limited talent Ver. 22.

I have been told by IK that a Dongled version of ST2 is in the works, I think it will be Version 2.5, I don't know when it's gonna happen tho.
