Just finished the demo for our new electronic percussions sample set, Sidekick. More than half of the sounds have velocity layers. It will be released in the next few days but you can download the demo soundfont HERE

The download is 2.8 MB and 8.71 MB when uncompressed.
More info in the readme file. The final set will be available in the following formats:
- Soundfont
- Wave files including mappings for FXpansion DR-008, LinPlug RMIV and NUSofting DK+.

Comments are welcome!
Thank you

Very cool set Zvon! I just bashed the hell out of my keyboard trying these out, very fun. Nice mix of sounds, I'll definitly keep my eye out for the dk+/dr008 release.

Thanks max!

I wanted to create percussions that not only would sound great and offer versatility when sequencing. But that would also be fun to play in realtime on a keyboard or a drum pad.

I still have to try it with my girlfriend's SPD-6 though  .

I like what you've done with the velocity layering. For electronic sounds like these, it's a whole different philosophy from layering acoustic samples. "If it's fun, it's right." :)

Also, the demo is HUGE. Thanks.

(BTW how are things going on those "Kids Kits" you were working on a while back?)

My sentiments, exactly!

I'm really trying to cut on the size of the demos, but I still have problems . Consider though that the demo has 40 different sounds and the full release has 285, seven times more :!:.

More about that soon.
