I have a number of sounds downloaded from Hollow Sun in the Akai format, and was wondering if these will load into ST2.
I tried navigating to the files on my hard drive, but when I attempted to "convert" them on ST, it asked for the cd to be installed.
I did once try to do the same after just copying some of the sounds to cd rom, but it still didn't work at all (that was a while ago so can't recall the exact response from ST2).
Anyway, I was wondering if anyone had any ideas how or if this could be done.
I can load the sounds into my DS864 sampler in P5, but a recent forum message stated that the sounds were degraded a little and I thought I'd give it a try.
No real biggie, just fancied trying it out.

The Hollow Sun online library was in Akai S5000 format, .akp program files with wav files for the actual samples. Sampletank's Akai import is for S1/3k format, a proprietary audio and preset format, from disc, and does not read the .akp files associated with the S5k. Try directly importing the wav files by selecting "samples" when you click the import button.

Thanks pal. I thought it may be something like that, but as I'm on a different computer at the moment, couldn't remember which format was which.
I'll certainly try loading up a few wave files.
