try this direkt-links for the 4-band and 1-band. it still worked a few moments ago.

http://refinedaudiometrics.com/images/PLParEQ1.zip
Tried the free versions yesterday evening on BASS, GUITAR, VOCALS, VST-Synths and MIXES and I'm very impressed by the quality. OK... the CPU goes down, but it was worth to return to track freezing after fixing that incredible e-bass sound.
Congratulations for a Plugin like that. Opposed to others I also think that it is the best approach to start with research about the core benefits of a product (here the eq quality). At the end there is enough room to improve user interface, compatibilty issues etc. Again, Great work.
Just have problems with the plugin-delay compensation (tried it with 3-band 1.74. in Tracktion 2).
This issue is mentioned in the pdf file which is available in the 10-band-demo download. The plug only reports the delay caused by Quality 1 to the host. If you set the quality higher also offline rendering was no help so you have to put compensation delays in the other tracks... very uncomfortable. Maybe different PlugIn Versions are a Workaround for this if this is really a hosts problem.
Simply can't afford the full version at the moment but I will recommend this EQ to everyone who maybe can.

Why didn't it help to render offline? Delay compensation shouldn't matter with offline rendering. Can't you mix at quality 1 and render at quality 5?
Here is my small version:

@frippertronix
good question. I tried it exactly the way you described. Mixing at Q1 and render at Q5. Testcase was BFD Acoustic Drum Module as Multiout-VST in tracktion 2. PLParEQ was only on the snare direct and after rendering, there was a hearable delay between snare direct and the snare via Room & bleed channels.
will try it again. The new PLParEQ3 (1.78 ) also sets Q5 as default and maybe this changes also the latency reporting to the host. Also found the nice little free helper plug "latency delay" from voxengo. maybe this does the trick.

Woohoooo!
Major speed improvement for P4 processors because of special Intel compiler usage. This reduces the CPU usage more than 50% on my system!
Best wishes, FRitz

Except the PLParEQ4.zip contains the 3-band version instead. DO NOT download this file and overwrite your old one if you intend to keep the 4-band version...

The old 1-band and 4-band units have been deprecated. The very best algorithms are now available in the 3-band and 10-band versions.
We have promised the German Keyboard magazine that we will keep the 3-band EQ available through at least the end of the year.
At this point, pending any further bug fixes, this is the end of the line for the 3-band. All future improvements go exclusively to the 10-band EQ.
Thanks again for all the great help, and the terrific vibes!!
Cheers,

David,
Kinda late to the party (been out for a few days), but here's some suggestions, probably helping you to attract people:
- Please take away the "hearing restoration" remarks on your site. While a proper EQ *could* be used to get you back some *stuff* (whatever that might mean), we all know that it's just impossible in a medical way to restore a damaged ear using some software.
You're aiming at some mastering professionals, aren't you? You are clearly *not* aiming at people with impaired hearing skills but at those with "golden ears". A fundamental difference.
Really, while your products seem to be great (not tried the latest free versions yet), the marketing is.... uhm, let me say "questionable".
- As others said allready, you should get some professional GUI designer onboard. Yes, some people don't give a damn about GUIs, but some people do. This should be true for mastering engineers as well...
- Please get some web designer!!! The site is looking hillariously amateurish to say the least! Heck, there's some black (!) text placed over some black (!) borders - so you can't even read sone things at all unless you highlight them!
I'm sorry if this sounds harsh to you, but believe me, there's gonna be quite a few people looking at your site thinking "Wow, those dudes can't even afford to design a most simple website properly, how should they be able to do a proper plugin?"
You should really consider these...
Apart from that, thanks for the free versions, gonna check them out later on.

Ahem... You are wrong about hearing restoration. And our restoration is not just a simple EQ... That EQ technology was a demo of our DSP capabilities and serves as a sample of what we can do. That is only a tiny bit, but it is a taste...
We spent 12 man-years doing exhaustive research on human loudness perception and we finally found THE way to restore a lost sense of hearing.
So while you may choose to believe your own prejudices, what we have to say on our web site is the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth. We have users all over the world that exclaim the ability to compose music once again! So shout all you want that black is white, I still see white, and so do our customers...
Interesting that you are still harking on about the web site. I cannot see the problems you report using any of IExplorer, Camino, FireFox, and Safari.
I'll take your word for it that there are problems on your browser where text runs into the black borders, but honestly, I don't see it from here.
Sorry you feel so hostile about it all...

Hostile?? It was hardly hostile, from where I'm reading...
...by the way, even though I'm sure you'll feel THIS is hostile as well (being criticism and all), deprecated isn't really the right word - maybe you should change the website page to read "this page no longer exists", or "this page has absolutely nothing on it", or "stop looking for our previously free shit!" or something like that...

I've had a fair number of PM's since I brought this up.Sascha Franck wrote:Please take away the "hearing restoration" remarks on your site. Some from concerned devs worried about sticking their heads above the parapet.
A bit of hate mail from the fanboys.
One from the KvR management warning me off.
Well there's f**k all gonna be done about it now.
Remember when you could have a made a difference, Sascha?

Sorry, no, I'm not. Let's assume 100% hearing loss, in other words, a deaf person. Will you be able to restore that persons hearing using whatever software? No way! Never. Ever! It's just that simple, no way around it.dbmcclain wrote:Ahem... You are wrong about hearing restoration.
Now, will you be able to give back a few, say, high frequencies to persons being partially hearing impaired? Yes, you will - but you won't fully restore their hearing at all. You may also be able to even out perceived frequency responses... all that stuff. Fine.
But, and that's all there is about, you won't be able to "restore" hearing for persons that suffer from a certain percentage of hearing damage anymore, yet your website *seems* to claim such things, at least partially.
I'm not saying this is your intention, but it still *seems* like it.
Maybe. I'm not the one to tell or prove the opposite. We spent 12 man-years doing exhaustive research on human loudness perception and we finally found THE way to restore a lost sense of hearing.
You won't make a deaf person hear again though. And that's all the point I've been trying to make: It will only work up to a certain percentage.
It looks like I described under 98SE/IE, 98SE/Netscape and XP/Firefox. I can post a screenshot, if you like me to.Interesting that you are still harking on about the web site. I cannot see the problems you report using any of IExplorer, Camino, FireFox, and Safari.
Hostile??? Not sure if I'm aware of all the possible meanings of that word (english not being my native language), but my comments were meant to be somewhat helpful instead of "hostile".Sorry you feel so hostile about it all...
I'm sure you got a great sounding EQ there, but you should really straighten out some things IMO.
But then, of course, my comments might not be of any worth...

I see the same problem. Look Dave, ignoring this fact doesn't bring you any good. Fact is, some users experience problems with the website, which means it's poorly designed. It IS that simple, and it would be fairly easy to design a website where black borders didn't constitute a potential problem.Interesting that you are still harking on about the web site. I cannot see the problems you report using any of IExplorer, Camino, FireFox, and Safari.
