FR - better CC implementation

Well I had my first go last night and I really do enjoy this soft, A+. I also took the time to midi up a default for notes c3-c4, and had a blast switching bits on the go. But the CC part didn't work to well for me.
I put a CC on Param type loop num slices and num of beats but when knobs were twisted I did not get a response. Also on track volume I didn't get a response. Maybe I'm doing something wrong here.
*But one thing is for sure: we need to get some CC action on the sensitivity. That is the area my mouse is tending to molest the most!!

I have noticed that changing the sens will auto put all slices back to output 1 (which makes sense). But perhaps it would be possible to have an option to scale outputs so that when the sens is changed each slice is assigned an output chronologically or randomly.

Thanks for pointing it out- I'll look over the CC handling. And yes: CC should be able to control the autoslice as well. Output randomizing is a cool idea. I might make it a Midi only feature to avoid cluttering the GUI. Or perhaps I should consider a popup menu for those uncommon but cool features.

you are right the mapping doesn't work in all combinations with ccs (just reproduced it here using XYZControlVeXKoN wrote:I put a CC on Param type loop num slices and num of beats but when knobs were twisted I did not get a response. to work around the volume issue use type "event" and map it to "amp set", that way you can alter the volume.

I have noticed another 'issue' with CCs (actually I don't think it's a real issue, but quite 'disturbing'
):
When you change the pitch of a whole track with the mouse (with the lock button enabled), every event in the track is being modified simultaneously, whereas when you change the value by midi (IE with the modulation wheel as assigned in the default settings of LiveSlice), each event is being pitched seperately: you can see the sliders moving individually for each event.
Anyone having the same behavior?
Cheers,
Gil.

that's only a grafix thing, the events are pitched like using the mouse with lock.GilJ wrote:whereas when you change the value by midi (IE with the modulation wheel as assigned in the default settings of LiveSlice), each event is being pitched seperately: you can see the sliders moving individually for each event.
but when you use the midi-control, the events are redrawn whenever the blue transport-mark is on the event and then you see the current value of the pitch.
as soon as you release the control, all events are redrawn and you'll see that every event is affected by the control.

this issue has already been fixed. update soonwhereas when you change the value by midi (IE with the modulation wheel as assigned in the default settings of LiveSlice), each event is being pitched seperately: you can see the sliders moving individually for each event.
